CANDLE CARE TIPS

FULL MELT POOL

we recommend that when you burn your candle for the first time, you burn it for a minimum of 3 to 4 hours or until you have a full melt pool (the top layer of wax has melted from side to side). This will prevent your candle from tunnelling through the middle, meaning you'll get a much longer burn time and no wasted wax!

TRIM THE WICK

before you go and relight your candle, trim that wick. We advise trimming your wick to no more than 1cm in length. By shortening the wick you allow the flame to burn more slowly and prevent your candle from emitting soot (black smoke).

KEEP IT CLEAN

keep the wax pool clear of any wick trimmings to prevent the wick from getting clogged. Debris in the wax pool can also act as a secondary wick, encouraging your candle to burn faster.

GIVE IT SPACE

light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts or fans, which can cause sooting (black marks on the bottle), or rapid and uneven burning.
